It is always our intention to combine performance opportunities that offer the highest level of performance excellence while reinforcing lifelong lessons in teamwork, discipline and artistic growth. THE NUTCRACKER & WINTER SHOW
Aside from our recital, this opportunity may be the most treasured by our dancers and families. Who doesn’t love this all-time classic Christmas story! Our ballet and pointe classes look forward to performing this show every year along with an opening act complete with dances choreographed by Radio City Rockettes and professional Broadway dancers and choreographers. Every year dancers look forward to finding out what their classes will be cast as, as well as our most advanced pointe dancers finding out what lead roles they will get to perform! It provides a performance and growth opportunity that no other studio in our area can rival.
COMPETITION
Show Case Opportunities
Dancers selected for our showcase are an elite group of committed dancers who have gone above and beyond making it obvious to the staff that we have to acknowledge their outstanding dedication and commitment. We are excited to create an outlet in which we can further examine their talent. The JDC showcase is exactly that venue. These dancers not only get to perform in a special showcase for their families but are also invited to participate in competitions throughout the year.
JDC in Disney
Dance + Disney – what better combination!
JDC is proud to offer an incredible performance opportunity through Disney’s Performing Arts Program. Our audition and acceptance to participate in this program allowed us to create a spectacular showcase performed in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs Marketplace Stage! Dancers ages 8 to 18 participated in a running show that showcased ballet, pointe, tap and jazz of all levels! Our dance families had an incredible time preparing for and participating in this opportunity. These opportunities are meant to both provide a performance and a family experience (both JDC family and dancer families) that magically make your dreams come true!
JDC @ Sea – Stars @ Sea – Carnival Cruise Lines!
Jackson Dance Center has provided our dancers with the opportunity to perform a show on Carnival Cruise Lines. This 30-minute running show offered dancers aged 8-18 an opportunity to showcase a themed show that was enjoyed by a large audience. Just to name a couple of themes – JDC beach theme & JDC Broadway theme are some of our favorites! Again, the process and work that the dancers put into these SHOWS were extraordinary and the memories and friendships will last a lifetime!
